Impact

We believe Jesus calls us to Go First—to show up, serve boldly, and love
our neighbors through tangible acts of compassion.

What is Impact?

The Bible tells us the two greatest commandments are to love God and love people. Impact is one of the primary ways we get to love our neighbors–by showing up to meet the needs of our city & world. Whether delivering meals, building beds, or walking with someone through crisis, our goal is to Go First & love our community–one act of service at a time.

Upcoming Events

2026 Focus and Goals

This year we’re setting our sites on some specifics we feel God is calling our church to accomplish. Here’s what we want to do, together:

Three people, including a smiling woman in glasses and a Bart Simpson hoodie, packing food into a box.

100,000 meals

In 2026 food & nutrition insecurity affect more than 850,000 people in San Diego County alone. That means nearly a million people don’t know where their next meal is coming from. So, we’ve set our sights on feeding at least 100,000 people in 2026.

Two young girls and an adult woman sitting at an outdoor wooden table writing or drawing on paper with a man standing nearby watching them.

20,000 notes of encouragement

Share the encouragement of Jesus through handwritten invitations into his love and to our church in the form of notes.

Stories of Impact

FAQs

What is Impact at The Church at RB?

Impact is how we put love into action—through strategic partnerships, community service, and global outreach. It’s our way of “going first” to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our neighbors locally and around the world.

Who can serve with Impact?

Everyone! Whether you’re new to our church, part of a Circle group, or serving with your family, there’s a place for you. Most events are open to all ages, and some projects are tailored to specific groups (kids, students, adults, families).

What kinds of opportunities are available?

Impact offers both one-time and ongoing ways to serve, including meal packing, kit building, hosting drives, writing notes of encouragement, supporting our local partners, and joining international trips.
