Proverbs 19:20–23
“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise… The fear of the Lord leads to life.”
Instruction is framed as a gift for the future self. Listening becomes an act of foresight. The fear of the Lord anchors wisdom by placing God, not self, at the center of learning.
Wisdom welcomes correction today to avoid regret tomorrow.
